Poets within this community of writers are feeling this moment in time, and writing about it.
Daniel Warren Brown’s poem is another example.
If you have something you want to say about what is happening in the world and how it may be affecting you in the way of a poem, drop me an email.

Villages Too
……Red Hook, NY
population a mere thousands
is the conscience of capillaries
as a village we are
a pulsing dissent
through the body politic
a warm flow
of compassion
that melts ice murders
maybe we are less than cities
where millions march
but we perfuse the cause
for Renee Good
Alex Pretti
and all the future victims
of terror
on four small corners
outside the neighborhood deli
and Mobil gas station
and Mexican restaurant
Red Hook lifeblood flows
into the veins of Sister cities
week after week.
