Lennie Tristano
you don’t need eyes to see the world
you can feel it note by note, let the
melody move within you, let your
fingers play the keyboard, and discover
a highway, being blind doesn’t stop
you from seeing dreams, it allows
you to feel the music your way
in darkness, you can always
find the light. you touch the
piano keys and the music
tells you how to feel
you don’t need eyes to
play the melody, let your
fingers rest on the keys
and they will reveal the truth
the music will always take you home
