Midnight Blue
sculpted notes
& scrawled graffiti. /. we bathe
in sunlight . wearing . wide-
brimmed hats
you remain uncontrollable
I sometimes am non-
comprehensible
the city is the
………..backdrop
…………..of all of
our . dreams
you leave no room for brevity
you’ve got no humor / you’ve
got . no levity
(& if this doesn’t call
for a laugh / please
tell me what does?
I want your / bombast
laced with the ….Blues
…incredible!
I want to be …..humbled
by your soul explorations
I want . Kenny Burrell
on ……………my turntable!
I want all of my Blues
to be midnight
blue
